I have more pictures of my work, but the memory for the camera is full and there are downloading problems. I have some finished peices that are fully glazed and painted. For now I am working on some wheel pieces.

Chia seeds were documented to exist as a food in 3500 BC. They were cherished in Central America before the the Spanish Invasion 1400-1500's. After that, the customs and agricultural traditions of the Aztecs and other similar civilizations were changed. They were replaced with other grains like corn.

Chia seeds are an all-natural source of vitamin-rich Omega-3 and Omega-6.

raku vase

Ceramic artist, Betty Printy, has been conducting workshops on the firing of Raku pottery and producing Raku pottery for sale in her gallery in Bentonsport for the last ten years.

Raku is a process that dates back to 1573 A.D. in Japan.

The process involves glazing bisque fired pieces using glazes containing high amounts of copper and other metallic salts.

The pots are then fired to 1800 degrees F in a gas fired kiln.

Upon reaching the maturity temperature of the glaze, the kiln is opened and the red hot vessels are removed using tongs for handling.

The containers contain organic material such as paper, sawdust, leaves or dried grass clippings.

Chinese pottery with chinese text. they are both tea pots being sold for $30. i liked these tea pots because it has a different language writing, like me!!!

These are all examples of garden art. making something that fits in your garden is very impotant, one has to make something that doesnt lokk obnoxious. i have not made mine yet but i am thinking of making a bird feeder or an asortment of garden flowers and mushrooms.

This garden artwork is rich with different kinds of textures. The smooth chest, the texture of the shirt, the curlyness with her hair and the little frog.

The man carving the unique textures into the potts takes much consentration.

COD 4 LIFE!

The two pots that ive thrown both broke when spinning i was trimming the bottom. Its okay because the pots werent that well thrown. But anyways i did make my bugger/pear/ face and i am in the process of my mug with LATIN text. the theme of my mug is based off ancient roman culture. the mug is the "All Great Mug" with its "Noble King" as the owner (me). Omni Magnum Catris by Artorius Dux. I made my mug out of coils and pinched and smothed all them together. i am not making a handle for it, it is nice and thick/bulky just to hold. well next week i am for sure goin to have to throw some legitemite pots!

Cant Stop Me

I just made my new gmail account and my own blog spot. I really dont like this new email and blog thing instead of the power point. I have only made one piece of art and its called the bugger/pear face. i have made two pots on the wheel so far. i am a week behind in the class because of my dog sled adventure. i am really looking foward to throwing and making some cool pots this year in Ceramics II
